The Detroit Pistons narrowly defeated the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night thanks to a strong fourth quarter. Rasheed Wallace led the Pistons with 21 points on the road while the Hawks outrebounded Detroit by thirteen. Josh Smith posted 30 points and 6 rebounds for Atlanta, and Al Horford added 12 points and 16 boards in the loss. Chauncey Billups paced the Pistons with 16 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds in Detroits ninth straight win.

The Nets held the Timberwolves to just 36% shooting from the floor and outrebounded Minnesota by eight. Al Jefferson led the Timberwolves with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Sebastian Telfair added 24 points and 7 assists in the narrow defeat.

The New Orleans Hornets used a strong second half to knock off the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night, outscoring them 57-36 in the third and fourth quarters. Peja Stojakovic and David West both scored 27 points for the Hornets, and Chris Paul added 25 points and 14 assists for New Orleans in the win. The Bulls shot just 40% from the field in the loss while getting 28 points from Andres Nocioni and 16 rebounds from Ben Wallace. Tyson Chandler scored just 4 points for the Hornets but posted 16 rebounds on the road.
