Jalen Rose was honored by Michigan during halftime of the team's game against Illinois on Sunday for his charitable work in Detroit, according to the Associated Press. "I guess this is a day to start moving in the right direction," Rose told the AP before the game. "I see this as the first step." All evidence of the Fab Five's accomplishments have been removed from the record books following Chris Webber's alleged involvement with a Michigan booster. The team's Final Four banner has been placed in storage, and the Wolverines have a record of 0-70 for those two famed seasons. "Every time you see the black shoes, the black socks, and the baggy shorts, the Fab Five lives," he told the crowd at halftime. "And I'll be back here one day when those banners go back up." |
