The Orlando Magic raced out to a fourteen point lead after the first quarter against the Washington Wizards and never looked back on Wednesday night. Dwight Howard posted 20 points and 11 rebounds and Maurice Evans added 17 points and 6 boards of his own for the Magic, who shot 56% from the field and turned the ball over just eleven times. Antawn Jamison led with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Oleksiy Pecherov added 15 points off the bench for the Wizards, who struggled from the field and couldn’t handle Howard in the paint.

Monta Ellis notched 32 points and Baron Davis added 30 points and 5 assists for Golden State, who shot well but turned the ball over fourteen times.

Kevin Garnett led with 31 points and 5 rebounds as the Celtics outscored the Pistons by ten in the final period. Kendrick Perkins added 8 points and 15 boards for Boston, who held Detroit to just 36% shooting for the game. Rasheed Wallace starred for the Pistons with 23 points in defeat. Boston clinched a playoff berth with the win.

Both Dwyane Wade and Shawn Marion struggled, combining to score just 21 points against the Raptors. Marcus Banks had 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the Heat, who turned the ball over twenty times.

Delonte West added 10 points and Joe Smith contributed 8 points and 11 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who outrebounded the Knicks by three and hit 48% of their shots. Jamal Crawford notched 25 points and David Lee tallied 17 points and 8 rebounds for New York, who converted 51% of their shots but couldn’t guard Cleveland on the perimeter. The Cavs went 17-for-32 from three-point land.

Joe Johnson led with 24 points and Al Horford contributed 8 points and 11 boards for the Hawks, who allowed the Hornets to score 25 points off turnovers and post 23 second-chance points.

The Milwaukee Bucks led by fifteen points after the first quarter against the Seattle Supersonics and never looked back last night. Charlie Villanueva had 32 points and 11 rebounds and Andrew Bogut tallied 21 points and 13 boards for the Bucks, who held a slight advantage from beyond the arc. Kevin Durant scored 23 points and Johan Petro tallied 11 points and 15 rebounds for the Sonics, who recorded just nineteen assists on their forty made field goals. The Bucks won despite being without Mo Williams and Yi Jianlian.

Hakim Warrick had 25 points and 7 rebounds and Darko Milicic added 16 points and 11 boards for the Grizzles, who outrebounded the Nets by six and hit 48% of their shots. Richard Jefferson led with 22 points and Devin Harris tallied 20 points and 8 assists for the Nets, who struggled from long range and failed to get much production from their bench.

The Houston Rockets, who haven’t lost a game since late January, defeated the Indiana Pacers thanks to a strong first half last night. Tracy McGrady starred with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Rafer Alston added 21 points and 7 dimes for the Rockets, who made nearly half of their field goal attempts and outrebounded the Pacers by eight. Troy Murphy led Indiana with 17 points and 10 rebounds and Flip Murray added 14 points and 5 boards off the bench in the loss. The Pacers shot well from beyond the arc, but couldn’t take care of the basketball against the red-hot Rockets.

Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony combined to lead the Denver Nuggets past the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. Iverson posted 31 points and 12 assists and Anthony had 30 points and 13 rebounds for the Nuggets, who scored 20 points off of Phoenix turnovers and hit 52% of their shots. Amare Stoudemire had 22 points and Shaquille O’Neal added 12 points and 18 boards for the Suns, who had eight players score in double figures and got 13 assists from Steve Nash.

The Utah Jazz limited the Minnesota Timberwolves to just 37% shooting for the game as they cruised to an easy win last night. Deron Williams had 21 points and 11 assists and Carlos Boozer added 16 points and 14 rebounds for the Jazz, who shot 50% and outrebounded the Wolves by fourteen. Al Jefferson tallied 11 points and 10 rebounds and Randy Foye led Minnesota with 18 points as they struggled in all facets of the game against Utah. The Wolves are just one game behind the Heat for the worst record in the League.

Corey Maggette had 25 points and 8 assists and Thornton added 27 points and 5 rebounds off the bench for the Clippers, who outrebounded the Kings by eleven and scored 19 second-chance points. Beno Udrih led Sacramento with 25 points and Spencer Hawes added 10 points and 8 rebounds off the bench in the loss.
