Rockets Win 20th Straight, Tied For 2nd All-Time

Tracy McGrady and the Houston Rockets just continue to roll.

The Rockets, led again by Tracy McGrady's 28 points and 9 rebounds, beat the Hawks in Atlanta 83-75 on Wednesday night to earn their 20th consecutive win.

The win ties the second longest winning streak in a single season in NBA history, with the Rockets joining the 1970-71 Milwaukee Bucks in achieving the amazing feat. The Rockets will try for win 21, and sole possession of the second spot, when they take on Charlotte at home on Friday 14th.

The Los Angeles Lakers own the NBA's longest ever winning streak, set at 33 in the 1971-72 season.

The Rockets have been missing center Yao Ming since the beginning of March, which many believed marked the end of the Houston's chances. The team continued to win, however, with the win over the Hawks' being their 8th consecutive without the 7-5 sensation. [READ]
