The Phoenix Suns used a huge third quarter to knock off the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night. The Suns have now won three-straight games, possibly indicating that the Shaquille O’Neal experiment is finally clicking. Caron Butler returned to help lead the Washington Wizards to an important victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night. Butler had 19 points and 5 rebounds and Antawn Jamison added 17 points and 10 boards for the Wizards, who hit 48% of their shots and turned the ball over just nine times. LeBron James, who missed a three-pointer at the buzzer, posted 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the Cavaliers, who outrebounded the Wizards by fifteen but allowed the home team to score 23 points off turnovers. Sasha Pavlovic, who returned to the court for Cleveland, scored 24 points.

The Sacramento Kings used a strong first half to knock off the Portland Trail Blazers last night. Ron Artest had 22 points and Beno Udrih added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the Kings, who scored 27 points off Portland turnovers and went 24-for-28 from the foul line. Brandon Roy notched 21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and LaMarcus Aldridge added 20 points and 6 boards for the Blazers in the loss. Portland shot just 38% from the floor while slightly outrebounding the Kings on the road.

The Phoenix Suns outscored the Golden State Warriors 38-22 in the third quarter en route to a big win on Thursday night. Amare Stoudemire posted 36 points and 11 rebounds and Steve Nash added 21 points and 13 assists for the Suns, who hit 54% of their shots while committing sixteen turnovers. Baron Davis had 38 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and Monta Ellis added 23 points and 8 boards for the Warriors, who attempted 105 shots in the fast-paced affair. Golden State scored 41 points on turnovers and second-chance efforts, but couldn’t recover from the Suns’ huge third period.
