The SEC Tournament match up between Mississippi State and Alabama was delayed more than an hour due to a severe storm which left the Georgia Dome damaged, ESPN's Mark Schlabach and Andy Katz are reporting.

According to the report, a loud blast was heard inside the dome with 2:11 remaining in overtime. The girders near the dome's roof began to swing, and a gaping section of the north part of the roof was ripped open, dropping debris that included nuts and bolts.

Mississippi State ended up winning the game 69-67.
