Mike Dunleavy dropped a career-high 36 points on the New York Knicks for the second time this season, leading the Indiana Pacers to a win at home on Monday night. Danny Granger posted 26 points and 11 rebounds and Troy Murphy added 13 points and 10 boards for the Pacers, who scored 25 points off of New York turnovers. Zach Randolph led the Knicks with 21 points and 14 rebounds and Wilson Chandler added 15 points and 8 boards in the loss. Isiah Thomas sat Randolph and Jamal Crawford for the entire fourth quarter.

The Orlando Magic made a statement with an emphatic win over the Cleveland Cavaliers last night. Dwight Howard had 23 points and 13 rebounds and Rashard Lewis added 21 points and 6 boards for the Magic, who hit fourteen three-pointers and turned the ball over just ten times. LeBron James had 30 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the Cavs, while Delonte West added 16 points and 6 boards in defeat. Cleveland outshot and outrebounded Orlando, but they couldn’t counteract the Magic’s superb shooting from both the foul line and behind the arc.

The Atlanta Hawks used a solid second half to knock off the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night, keeping their playoff hopes alive in the process. Mike Bibby had 23 points and Al Horford added 12 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists for the Hawks, as they hit 55% of their shots and outrebounded Washington by six. Antawn Jamison led the Wizards with 25 points and 9 rebounds, while Brendan Haywood added 16 points and 9 boards of his own in the loss. Atlanta’s Joe Johnson continued his recent hot streak with 18 points and 10 assists, while fellow all-star Caron Butler notched 12 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds for Washington.

The New Orleans Hornets outscored the Chicago Bulls by twenty in the fourth quarter to come-from-behind and win last night. Chris Paul had 37 points and 13 assists and Peja Stojakovic notched 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Hornets, who hit 48% of their shots and scored 17 points off of just thirteen Chicago turnovers. Ben Gordon had 31 points for the Bulls, while Drew Gooden posted 23 points and 12 rebounds in the loss. The win moved the Hornets to within one game of the West-leading Houston Rockets.

In a battle of two teams that have been mathematically eliminated from the playoff race, the Minnesota Timberwolves downed the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. Al Jefferson led with 21 points and 14 rebounds and Rashad McCants added 16 points off the bench for the Wolves, who outrebounded the Clippers by six and held them to just 39% shooting from the field. Corey Maggette exploded for 34 points and Josh Powell notched a double-double for Los Angeles, who turned the ball over only six times. The game was tight throughout, until Minnesota began to pull away in the fourth quarter.

The Memphis Grizzles outscored the Charlotte Bobcats by twenty-three points in the second half to record a come-from-behind victory. Juan Carlos Navarro had 21 points and Mike Miller added 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Grizzles, who outrebounded the Bobcats by seven and scored 27 points off of turnovers. Derek Anderson scored 17 points and Jared Dudley added 14 points and 4 rebounds for Charlotte off the bench. The Bobcats shot 40% on the night, including a dreadful 4-for-21 performance from behind the three-point line.

The Boston Celtics held off the San Antonio Spurs in the final moments on Monday night to earn themselves a big win at the AT&T Center. Paul Pierce had 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Kevin Garnett added 21 points and 8 boards of his own for the Celtics, who outscored the Spurs by twelve in the second half. Tony Parker notched 17 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds for San Antonio, while Manu Ginobili added 32 points off the bench. Tim Duncan attempted just eight field goals for 10 points as Garnett and Kendrick Perkins did a good job of keeping him from getting involved.

The Utah Jazz kept pace with the best in the West with a rout of the Bosh-less Toronto Raptors last night. Deron Williams had 21 points and 4 assists and Carlos Boozer added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Jazz, who ran away with the game in the fourth quarter. Jose Calderon posted 16 points and 7 assists and Rasho Nesterovic added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Raptors, who shot just 40% from the field and turned the ball over seventeen times. Toronto has now lost five in a row and nine of their last eleven, but they still hold down the fifth seed in the East.
