Heat Looking To Deal Or Extend Marion?

The Heat could look to trade Shawn Marion this summer if they cannot lock him up long-term, something the team might not even want to do with an eye on cap room in 2009, according to the Miami Herald.

Marion isn't expected to opt out of the final year on his current contract in the offseason because there is no way he'd get similar money on the open market.

He will make $17.4 million next season. [READ]
