Tracy McGrady claims that he will play for the Rockets on Friday night when they battle with Suns despite his sore left shoulder, according to the Associated Press.

He missed Houston's game against Seattle on Wednesday night.

However, the team could be without Shane Battier because of a bruised left foot and ankle.

"We'll just see who's available tomorrow," said Houston Coach Rick Adelman. "I just have to rely on the medical people and those two guys being truthful and telling us how they feel."
