Three Hurt As Small Section Of FedEx Forum Stands Collapses

A small section at FexEd Forum in Memphis collapsed before the game between the Grizzlies and Timberwolves on Saturday night, hurting three people, the Associated Press is reporting.

According to the report, one man was taken away on a stretcher and two others were treated at the scene, arena officials said.

"This has surprised us," said Steve Zito, the senior vice president of arena operations. "We're going to find out what happened and make sure it never happens again."

The incident happened an hour before the game was scheduled to begin. The section was roped off and did not affect the game. [READ]
