Donnie Interested In D'Antoni?

Donnie Walsh seems to be broadening his coaching search as he has an eye on Phoenix coach Mike D'Antoni should the Suns decide to fire him, according to the New York Post.

A source close to Walsh leaked the rumor, as the probability of D'Antoni being fired after a first round exit against the Spurs increases.

"He wants to see how the playoffs unfold," the source said of Walsh. "Mark [Jackson] could still very well get the job, but even if you're 90 percent sure, you don't want to just hand him the job right away."

Aside from Jackson, Walsh appears interested in D'Antoni, Avery Johnson, Sam Mitchell and Flip Saunders. [READ]
