LeBron James has accepted the blame for the Cavaliers one-point loss to the Wizards on Wednesday night, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

Caron Butler made a game-winning layup after bolting past James on his way to the basket.

James had the chance to win the game on the other end of the floor but missed the clutch shot.

"There was a lot of contact, but I'm supposed to make that; I've made more difficult shots," James said. "We can't rely on me getting a foul at the end of the game. We didn't execute being up five, and I had the ball in my hands for the most part. I'm supposed to put us in the position to do the right thing, and I didn't do that."
