Stefanski Expects To Match Offers For Iguodala
May 2, 2008 - 4:28 pm
The Philadelphia Daily News -
Ed Stefanski is glad that Andre Iguodala is a restricted free agent because he claims that the Sixers plan on matching any offers for the young swingman, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

"I would say, 'Thank God they're restricted,' because we have no intention of not matching any offer from another team," Stefanski said of Iguodala and Louis Williams.

Iguodala rejected an extension offer from then-GM Billy King during the season that would have paid him $57 million.

"We need to keep getting better pieces," Stefanski added. "The beauty of this is, young guys get older and [improve as] NBA players. We have to decide whether they can help us get to the next level."

RealGM Note: Iguodala was ranked 20th in the entire NBA by our FIC statistical measurement. He 'deserved' to make $13.76 million and had a Reina Value of +399%. [READ]
