The Cleveland Cavaliers closed out their first round series against the Washington Wizards with a 105-88 win at the Verizon Center on Friday night.

LeBron James posted 27 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists and Wally Szczerbiak added 26 points for the Cavaliers, who shot 49% on the night and outrebounded Washington by three.

Cleveland entered the second period down four, but used a 52-33 advantage over the second and third quarters to steal the game and clinch the series.

Antawn Jamison led with 23 points and 15 rebounds and Brendon Haywood tallied 13 points and 10 boards for the Wizards, who shot just 39% from the floor and turned the ball over three more times than Cleveland.

Washington attempted nine more foul shots than Cleveland, but were just 5-for-21 from beyond the three-point line.

Worried about the possibility of heading home for a pivotal Game Seven this weekend, James quite simply put the Cavaliers on his back and willed them to victory.

Cleveland will face the winner of the Boston/Atlanta series in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. [READ]
