Fire Stunt Delays Spurs-Hornets Game

Game 1 between New Orleans and San Antonio was delayed 19 minutes between the first and second quarters on Saturday night when a mascot stunt went wrong, the Associated Press is reporting.

The Hornets' mascot Super Hugo jumped through a blazing hoop and dunked the ball, but workers could not put out the fire and then had to douse the fire with foam extinguishers for several seconds before it would go out.

The action left the floor wet, and it took some time for workers to get the court in playable condition. [READ]
