Magic Pound Pistons In Game Three

The Orlando Magic excelled in the first and fourth quarters as they defeated the Detroit Pistons , 111-86, in Game Three of their semifinal series on Wednesday night.

Rashard Lewis posted 33 points and 6 rebounds and Dwight Howard tallied 20 points and 12 rebounds for Orlando, who shot 54% from the field and outrebounded Detroit by seven.

Orlando outscored Detroit 68-33 combined in the first and final periods, with the Pistons holding a slight ten-point edge over the second and third quarters.

Hedo Turkoglu added 18 points and 6 rebounds, with Jameer Nelson contributing 18 points and 7 assists in the victory.

Richard Hamilton starred with 24 points and 6 rebounds and Tayshaun Prince held his own with 22 points and 7 boards for Detroit, who hit just 40% of their shots.

Chauncey Billups played just four minutes in the loss after leaving early in the first quarter with a strained hamstring.

He got tied up with Orlando's Nelson near the basket and went down. The team listed him as questionable to return, but he never did.

Game Four will be Saturday in Orlando as the Magic look to draw even with the Pistons in their best-of-seven series. [READ]
