The feeling persists that 35-year-old Cliff Robinson might be best served -- and able to serve the Pistons best -- as the sixth man. There is no question that Robinson is one of the team's best players. As Coach Rick Carlisle has said, Robinson's body is in as good or better shape than anybody's, he is the team's most experienced player, and he's the best team defender. Thus, Carlisle's initial plan to start Robinson at center has merit. Certainly, the Pistons have gotten away with worse (Terry Mills comes to mind). |
