After signing forward Antawn Jamison on Monday, the Wizards are close to signing guard Gilbert Arenas to a new contract, Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated is reporting.

While the deal is not yet complete, it is believed that the Wizards and Arenas will come to terms sometime this week on a contract in the six-year, $100 million range.
