The Jazz and point guard Deron Williams are expected to meet this week about a contract extension, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.

The meeting will take place on either Wednesday or Thursday of this week, with a number of representatives accompanying Williams.

"I think that it's very important," agent Bob McClaren said. "This is one of the most important decisions of his career, and I think he should be a party to some, if not all, of the discussions."

The deal is expected to be worth around $90 million.
