The Hornets are currently focusing their attention on free agent forward James Posey, according to The Times-Picayune.

New Orleans would like Posey to help fill their void at shooting guard, but General Manager Jeff Bower knows that pulling off such a deal will be difficult.

"Jeff and I have had a lot of conversations," agent Mark Bartelstein said. "We're talking."

A ton of teams have targeted Posey this month, and it would likely take the full midlevel exception for the Hornets to sign him.
