By signing guard Mickeal Pietrus, the Orlando Magic may finally be prepared to part ways with J.J. Redick, the Associated Press is reporting.

Redick has been asking for a trade for months, but the Magic have wanted to keep the former Duke star.

"I have four [shooting guards] and only one at the position right next to it," GM Otis Smith said, "so there's still some more work to be done."
