Guard Brandon Roy underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery on Thursday, and the Blazers expect that he will be fine for the team's season opener against the L.A. Lakers, the Associated Press is reporting.

Blazers' athletics trainer Jay Jensen told The Oregonian that Roy will be off crutches next week.
