The Rockets have purchased truckloads of supplies for victims of Hurricane Ike, and a number of players unloaded them at a distribution center on Thursday, according to Associated Press.

The supplies included food, water, and toiletries. The trucks carried 80,000 pounds of the assorted items.

"It was an easy decision to do something very quickly," Rockets' CEO Tad Brown said. "We had the infrastructure in place to do it."
