The plan to bring rookie Derrick Rose along slowly appears to have been thrown out the window, with two sources revealing to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune that Rose is having the best training camp of anybody on the team.

Most observers now consider Rose to be a lock to start when the Bulls open their season in late October.

"He has been very good, really, really impressive," teammate Thabo Sefolosha said. "He's quick. He makes good decisions on the court. I'm impressed with the way he prepares himself and how he knows when to pass, when to attack. He's already playing at a very high level."
