Suns' co-owner Dick Heckmann thought that the idea of playing an NBA game outside was a bad one but soon had second thoughts before Saturday night's game against Denver came to fruition, the Arizona Republic are reporting.
"Dumb idea," Heckmann thought. "I called (Suns' President) Rick Welts, figuring he'd tell me I was the biggest idiot in the world."
"It is so popular and has drawn so much attention that I'm not sure we wouldn't do it again," added Heckmann. "Other NBA teams have contacted us."
