Cavaliers' star LeBron James claims that he doesn't need to play in the preseason in order to gear up for the 82-game regular season that will kick off later this month.

"I don't care if I play, 10, 15, 20 minutes," James said. "I'm ready. I'm in shape. The minutes won't go up."

"I'm just going to keep on playing the same minutes I've been doing and chill out in the second half because I'm prepared for the game on the 28th."

James isn't worried about the development of chemistry with his teammates.

"We can do that in practice." James said. "I sat out the first week — I practiced only one or two times — I've been going through every session for the last week. We're going to get our work done in practice and get ready to play."
