The Trail Blazers trimmed their roster to 17 on Friday when they waived rookie guard Jamaal Tatum.

Tatum played sparingly in three exhibition games, posting 0.7 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists.

His dismissal leaves three players - forward Shavlik Randolph, center Steven Hill, and forward Luke Jackson - competing for the final spot on Portland's roster.
