Lakers' guard Sasha Vujacic practiced on Monday for the first time since spraining his left ankle on the first day of training camp.

"It feels good. There are just certain movements, certain things I can't do," Vujacic said. "We'll see how it feels tomorrow and go from there."

Vujacic, who signed a three-year, $15 million contract July 28, hopes to be ready when the season begins Oct. 28 against Portland.

"He looked OK," Lakers' Coach Phil Jackson said. "I saw him limping a little bit at one time. No complaints."
