The Dallas Mavericks were again without Josh Howard as they look on the L.A. Lakers last night, the Associated Press is reporting.

Howard has missed the last two games with a wrist injury sustained against Denver on Friday night.

"[There's] some gradual improvement, but he's just not there yet," Carlisle said 90 minutes before losing to the Lakers 106-99.
