For the first time in 550 games on the Spurs' active roster, guard Bruce Bowen did not start for San Antonio on Tuesday night.

Looking for a spark, Bowen was replaced in the starting lineup by Ike Udoka, the Associated Press is reporting.

The defensive specialist had a streak of 500 straight games played and started for San Antonio end on March 14 when he served a one-game suspension at Detroit. Bowen had been suspended for kicking Chris Paul.
