The pair of trades that the Knicks pulled off on Friday afternoon, allowing them to open up significant cap space in the near future, has placed a fair amount of pressure on the team.
Donnie Walsh now has the room give LeBron James a maximum contract in the summer of 2010, as well as significant money to sign someone to be his co-star.
Everything Walsh does from now until July of 2010 will determine whether or not the team reaches their goal.
