Richard Hamilton led with 18 points; Rodney Stuckey tallied 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists; and Amir Johnson added 8 points and 8 boards off the bench.

Ben Gordon scored 21 points; Drew Gooden tallied 20 points and 12 rebounds; and rookie Derrick Rose added 18 points, 10 assists, and 5 boards in the victory. Chicago hit 52% of their field goals and narrowly outrebounded (42-39) Philadelphia. Elton Brand led with 21 points and 12 rebounds; Andre Miller contributed 15 points and 10 assists; and Thaddeus Young added 17 points and 5 boards in the loss.

Smith added 19 points, 5 boards, and 4 assists off the bench. Denver held Houston to 40% shooting while outrebounding them by four. Yao Ming led with 18 points and 11 rebounds; Rafer Alston tallied 16 points and 6 assists; and Aaron Brooks scored 15 points off the bench.
