The Knicks (9-11) drilled the Pistons (11-8) at Madison Square Garden thanks to a 29-12 advantage in the first quarter. Chris Duhon had 25 points and 9 assists, David Lee posted 12 points and 19 rebounds, and Quentin Richardson scored 23 points in the victory. New York outrebounded Detroit by fifteen and went 12-for-24 from behind the three-point line. Tayshaun Prince led with 23 points and 10 rebounds and Allen Iverson tallied 17 points and 7 assists, while Arron Afflalo scored 17 points off the bench.

Steve Blake made a three-pointer with nine seconds left to give the Blazers (15-7) a stunning victory over the Raptors (8-11) on Sunday afternoon at Air Canada Centre. LaMarcus Aldridge led with 20 points and 8 rebounds, Brandon Roy tallied 15 points, 7 assists and 6 boards, and Sergio Rodriguez added 18 points and 8 rebounds in a reserve role. Toronto shot 49%, but was outrebounded by seventeen. Jermaine O’Neal starred with 24 points and 8 rebounds, Chris Bosh posted 19 points and 5 boards, and Jose Calderon added 15 points and 13 assists in the loss. Bosh missed a jumper at the buzzer that would have won the game for the Raptors.

Paul Pierce forced overtime with a game-tying three-pointer on Boston's final possession as the Celtics (20-2) outlasted the Pacers (7-13) in overtime. Ray Allen scored 35 points, Kevin Garnett 16 points and 20 rebounds, and Pierce added 17 points and 8 boards in the close win. Both teams shot 50% from the field, but Boston outrebounded Indiana by eight. Marquis Daniels starred with 26 points and 8 rebounds, Danny Granger had 20 points and 5 assists, and Troy Murphy added 15 points and 7 boards in the loss. Jarrett Jack missed shots on back-to-back possessions at the end of regulation that would have won the game for the Pacers.

The Lakers (17-2) outscored the Bucks (9-13) in the first three quarters on their way to win No. 17. Kobe Bryant starred with 20 points and 8 assists, Andrew Bynum had 14 points and 14 rebounds, and Pau Gasol added 12 points and 9 boards. Los Angeles outrebounded Milwaukee by seven and limited the Bucks to 38% shooting. Rookies Joe Alexander (15 points) and Luc Mbah a Moute (14 points and 6 rebounds) were the lone stars for coach Scott Skiles, as Andrew Bogut, Richard Jefferson and Michael Redd all struggled.
