The trade deadline is roughly three weeks away, and the Pacers are still discussing point guard Jamaal Tinsley with teams.

Tinsley, who hasn't played since Feb. 5, 2008 in an Indiana loss to San Antonio, is under contract through the 2010-11 season at roughly $7 million per year.

"We are in conversations with teams as the deadline approaches," Pacers general manager David Morway told RealGM on Thursday night.

"Teams have asked about Jamaal, and we would, obviously, like to resolve the situation. You know, we have to figure something out that will work ... and we are hopeful that we'll be able to accomplish that at some point."

The Pacers placed Tinsley on the block well before the start of the season, but more than four months later he's still on their payroll.

"I know that Jamaal will be in good shape, and ready to play basketball," Morway added. "I think a new start will really be good for him and that he'll do very well."
