Philadelphia 76ers forward Elton Brand underwent successful surgery on his right shoulder this afternoon. The procedure, which lasted approximately one hour, repaired the torn labrum and was performed by Dr. Craig Morgan at the Christiana Surgery Center in Wilmington, DE. Brand suffered a dislocated right shoulder against the Milwaukee Bucks on December 17, 2008. He will miss the remainder of the 2008-09 season.
