The Mavericks are playing good basketball right now, and making a major trade would shuffle their lineup and possibly derail the chemistry they have built up.

Swinging a major deal could mean another year or two of adjusting in Dallas, and that simply isn't time that guys like Jason Kidd and Dirk Nowitzki can afford to lose.
