On Thursday morning, hours before the trade deadline came and went without Nate Robinson being dealt away, Alan Hahn asked Robinson if he hopes to be a Knick after the deadline passed. "Hopefully, a Knick for life," Robinson responded.

Donnie Walsh denied an ESPN rumor that a trade sending Robinson and Jared Jeffries to Sacramento was close to coming to fruition. Walsh called the rumor "absolutely bogus."
