Patrick Ewing won't publicly comment on any possible head coaching jobs, but people close to him say he'd welcome interest from the Wizards.

Ewing is currently an assistant for Orlando, while Ed Tapscott is the interim coach for Washington.

Ewing, who's contract expires at the end of the season, served as an assistant with the Wizards in 2003-04.
