The Spurs signed Drew Gooden to improve their playoff chances, and also relieve some of the pressure off Tim Duncan in the post.

Gooden has become San Antonio's leading post-up threat whenever Duncan goes to the bench.

"This is probably the first time we've called a post-up play for someone other than myself," Duncan said in the wake of Gooden's 13 points in 15 minutes on Saturday night.

"Not since David [Robinson], probably," Duncan said of the last time the Spurs had a player capable of posting-up other than himself.
