San Antonio's Gregg Popovich appeared in his 1,000th game as a coach on Monday night, making him just the 24th man in NBA history to join the club.

Popovich is one of only seven to reach the milestone with one team.

"I didn't know," said Popovich on whether he attached any significance to the milestone. "So no, I guess I don't."

"It means having a good owner, a good GM and good players equals longevity in the NBA," he added.

The Spurs lost to the Thunder 78-76 on Monday night, but Popovich has still amassed 676 wins through his 1,000 games.
