According to the Detroit News, police are investigating an incident between Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert and a former executive of his mortgage company during a private function at a posh hotel in suburban Detroit.

Birmingham police are looking into the March 21 incident at the Townsend Hotel, police chief Richard Patterson told the Associated Press on Friday.
