New Orleans defeated Miami 93-87 in overtime on Tuesday night to clinch a playoff berth.

"We've just got to try to keep picking up wins now," said forward David West. "We've got another shot at it (tonight) against Phoenix. Hopefully, we can put in a good effort."

Entering Wednesday's action, the Hornets held down the sixth seed in the Western Conference.
