The Cavaliers delivered a message to the Celtics on Sunday afternoon, in a game that didn't have any bearing on the playoff seeding in the East.

The Hornets (49-31) earned themselves a one-game lead over the Mavericks (48-32) in the race for the sixth seed with a win on Sunday night. Chris Paul starred with 37 points, 17 assists and 9 rebounds, David West posted 31 points and 6 boards, and Peja Stojakovic added 11 points and 6 rebounds. New Orleans shot 55% from the field, and hit 15-for-16 foul shots. Dirk Nowitzki had 29 points and 14 rebounds, Jason Terry tallied 13 points and 5 assists, and Josh Howard scored 15 points on 5-for-16 shooting in defeat.
