Nuggets guard J.R. Smith says that he plans to ignore Mavericks owner Mark Cuban during the team's second-round playoff series.

The two got into a shouting match on Jan. 13 during halftime over an elbow allegedly thrown by Smith at Dallas' Antoine Wright.

Cuban responded by challenging Smith to a steel-cage match in his blog. Wright is expected to guard Smith in the seven-game series, which begins Sunday.

"I don't care about Cuban or Wright -- why should I? I play for my team," Smith told The Denver Post. "I just need to go out and play my game."

Smith added that he won't take any bait from Cuban.

"I'm not a big fan of his and I think everybody knows that," Smith added. "He's just another thing we have to get by on the way to the championship."
