Heat owner Mickey Arison said this week that the team won't necessarily wait for the summer of 2010 to make a big move if the opportunity presents itself. "If a player you would be targeting became available in 2009, why wouldn't you do it?" Arison said. "We have not historically been a very patient organization. We're an organization that moves quickly. If the opportunity came along, we would consider it. But we're doing it under certain restraints." With that said, Miami appears primed for minor moves rather than blockbusters this offseason. Arison said "there's a likelihood, come 2010, we'll be looking at a lower cap and lower tax threshold." |
