Pacers' forward Danny Granger has been invited to participate in a USA Basketball training camp this summer, an invitation he'll likely accept.

The invitation is the first step towards Granger being named to the Olympic team.

"I think that's the level everyone strives to get to," Granger told The Associated Press. "You want to win an NBA championship, of course, but I think to play in the Olympics is something really special. It comes around just once every four years, and it's a special opportunity."

Granger, who averaged 25.8 points per game this season, was named to his first All-Star team this past February.
