In order to acquire Chris Bosh or Amare Stoudemire via trade, the Miami Heat would likely have to relinquish Michael Beasley. That might be too high of a price to pay, according to team insiders.
The Heat can potentially sign a maximum contract player in the summer of 2010 without giving up any talent in return.
The thinking of keeping Beasley is that Miami would be a much stronger team with Dwyane Wade, Michael Beasley and a player like Bosh or Stoudemire.
