Celtics coach Doc Rivers has instructed his team on how to commit a proper foul after a controversial call in the Nuggets-Mavericks game on Saturday night.

In the game, Antoine Wright of Dallas appeared to foul Carmelo Anthony before his game-winning three, but no foul was called.

The NBA apologized for the miscue after the game.

Rivers told his men to wrap both arms around a player in order to leave no doubt about a foul.

"The wrap-up also takes longer than raking a guy across the arms, and it reduces the chance that he can get off an attempt and get three foul shots," Rivers said.
