The Pacers have called an important press conference for Tuesday morning, during which Danny Granger is expected to be named the NBA's Most Improved Player.

Granger, who is believed to have been "battling" with New Jersey's Devin Harris for the award, was in Italy, which may have delayed the announcement.

He averaged a career-high 25.8 points per game this season, and was named to his first All-Star team in February.
