Jason Kidd will be a free agent this summer, so Wednesday may have been his final game in a Dallas uniform.

"I feel great," said Kidd. "Everybody talks about my age, but I still understand how to play the game, and I enjoy playing the game, so we'll see what happens."

"First of all, your point guard is free and he's the best point guard in the world. That's a big void to fill," said Jason Terry.

When asked if he didn't think the Mavericks would try to keep Kidd, Terry replied: "They should, but he's free, right? He can go wherever he wants to go. We want him back. I know every guy in that locker room wants him back. He's a Hall of Famer, and he's definitely a big reason why this team had success this season."

RealGM Note: Kidd was ranked 11th in season FIC and 'deserved' to make $18 million, giving him a Reina Value of -15%. A contract longer than two years is out of the question considering his age and he likely will receive a salary in the nine-figure category for the first time since he was on the Nets in 2002.
